Weekend Activities And Workshops Starting In November
Flower Arranging/Festive Ideas-With Ann Phoenix learn how to produce simple flower arrangements for the home using fresh and dried plant material and stylish, traditional wreaths, garlands, swags and arrangements for the festive season.
This is a 5 week course starting on Tuesday 4th November from 7pm - 9pm and will take place here at SBEC. The full fee is£37.50; over 60s£30;£15 on benefit.
Festive Garlands & Wreaths–There is also a choice of 2 Saturday workshops along the same lines as above but with Christmas more in mind. With Ann learn how to produce stylish festive arrangements, garlands, wreaths and swags for the home using fresh and preserved materials.
Saturday 22 November or Saturday 6 December from 10am - 3pm at SBEC.
The cost is for the day is £20.00.
Woodwind, Strings & Piano–Charmaine Cooper invites those of you who have been meaning to play that dusty instrument for ages. Why not get together with other musicians for a fun music playing workshop. Saturday 1st November and 6th December from 10am to 12.00pm.£8 per session.
Belly Dancing-Henrietta Lewis is the tutor for the Belly Dancing workshop on 15th November. All ages welcome. Come and enjoy yourself, just bring a scarf to tie around your hips. 10.30am to 12.30pm.£8 per session
French for Beginners- Not even a Bonjour needed for this course for absolute beginners. Learn how to ask for a hotel room; order a coffee; ask for directions; understand a menu; anything that would make a holiday or a longer stay in France that much easier and enjoyable. Starts Monday 3rd November 7pm to 9pm for 6 weeks. The full fee is £45; over 60 is £36;£18 on benefit.
