Year 11 are on course for some excellent GCSE results but there are a lot of pupils who are C / D borderline, so it is extremely important that they keep focused from now all the way through to the exam. Financial Literacy Unit 3 takes place on Friday March 26th and that will be to the end of the finance course for most pupils. However there are some who need to retake Unit 2 and that will be on May 19th.

Year 10 have settled in well their new groups and I am sure we will see big improvements in attainment when the pupils have taken their Year 10 exam. Financial retake results were generally very pleasing and all Year 10 will be beginning Unit 2 next term with the exam on the 19th May. Unit 3 exam will be Wednesday 16th June. Year 10 have recently taken the UK Intermediate Maths Challenge with the following pupils receiving certificates:
Gold: Kallum Delaney, Isobel Arnold
Silver: Beth Capon
Bronze: Jordan Sach, Lois Ferguson, Lucy Gobbitt, Daniel Hawes, William Cleverley
Well done to all who took part.

Year 9 have begun their first unit in Financial Literacy and have done really well. Mrs Clarke has joined the department for this term and next term so we have the advantage of three groups with the pupils receiving more individual help.

Year 8 have their turn at the UK Maths Challenge on Thursday 29th April and we are expecting some good results. Their recent test results were very good as their forthcoming reports will show.

Year 7 are making outstanding progress at the moment and are currently working on a project which gives them an opportunity to apply their Maths. They can look forward to the inter-school quiz next term.
