History
When pupils study History at Key Stage 3 they will be looking at local, national and international events over the past 2000 years.
We will see how people survived in the past and how these events have helped create the society we have today.
We will look at various themes and follow them through to the present day. Some of these themes are:
Migration
Human Rights
Conflict
Empire
Democracy
Within these themes we will look at Slavery, the British Empire, the wars that have taken place over the centuries, the role of women in society and the Holocaust.
The course is on line and there are several visits to places of historical interest. At Key Stage 4 we study World History in the c20th, which includes Germany and the USA between the Wars and Vietnam after 1945.
