Maths
The Maths Department aims to foster an enjoyment of mathematics and each year we enter 10A and 8A in the UK Maths Challenge.
We have also raised the expectations of our pupils and with over 80% now achieving a level 5 or more in Year 9, we have condensed KS3 to two years with GCSE work beginning in Year 9.
This will allow us to enter some pupils for their GCSE in Year 10 and to extend our financial qualifications. At present we enter Year 10 pupils for a foundation certificate in Personal Finance.
We have an experienced and stable department who aim to fulfil the potential of each pupil in an enjoyable but challenging way.
