Philosophy, Religion & Ethics

A newly developed course which can take our pupils from Year 7 right through to degree level. With strong links across the curriculum and especially with Citizenship, pupils will develop and enhance skills of evaluation, analysis and critical thinking.

We study topics such as Crime and Punishment, Marriage and Family Life and Social Responsibilities. Pupils take part in debates, role plays and extended writing tasks to explore how, as a society, our religious and secular communities make ethical decisions. Through this exciting new course we aim to help our pupils to develop their social, spiritual and moral well being.
